The upper sector of the waterway is about 350 m long to the culvert and it is situated in the former race of the already canceled water power station. It begins with a heating-up pool, which is about 50 m long and suitable for swimming, too. The heating-up pool is finished with a concrete sill where the rapids start. There are altogether five such sills in front of the culvert. Under the sills, the waterway is always wider and gives enough place for training in groups and, in case of tipping over, enough space to debark and save the paddlers and boats. This guaranties safety for the beginners. The difficulty level under the particular sills varies between WW2 and WW3.

A raft culvert follows with the difficulty regulated by the amount of water which is being let out. It differs between WW2 and WW4 and the waterway is the immediate possibility of regulation of the flow rate, which determines the difficulty level. The waterway is suitable for both the beginners and for the advanced competitors as well. The whole way was built with a purpose not to create any dangerous places there. Nowadays water in the river is clean and the whole area is equipped very well. The area is also suitable for rafting.

The area is easy accessible by car. If you come to Ceske Budejovice from north (from direction Plzen, Strakonice, Pisek), you turn left on the first trafic lights into Ceske Vrbne, in the village turn left and after a few houndrets metres you come to park place situated directly on the bank. If you come from other directions (Tabor, Linz), take direction Plzen and on the "highway" going out of the town turn right after passing Globus supermarket on your left. There is a good town bus connection between Ceske Budejovice and Ceske Vrbne. Town plan
